Production IT Support Specialist (MES Implementation Specialist) (f/m/d)

Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation and improvement of production IT Software in congruence with the designed processes and targets, acting as a liaison between Production and the local IT team / CPIM Production team.

  • Develop operating procedures, train supervisors, and support ongoing operator training.

  • Collect specifications related to the QA checks and create required master data. Collect specifications related to the SOP, COS, COE; check and fix existing documents, upload and link them to MES database.

  • Monitor daily activities, detect errors, and propose solutions to avoid further recurrences of the problems via training, process improvement, and/or dashboard fixes.

  • Check Efficiency reports (OEE), validate MES calculations, and propose solutions in case of deviations from FHCS standards.

  • Create master data, documentation and training sessions, validating OEE calculations, detecting problems, and proposing solutions.

  • Ensure electronic display data is accurate (TV Monitors, Charts, etc.).

  • Gradual replacement of paper documents in production with digital records in MES.

Qualifications:

  • This role will work a typical 7 am - 4 pm shift, but must be available off-shift for conducting trainings and/or answering questions as needed (~15-20% of the time). Potential minimal global travel.

  • Fluent English required; Spanish would be a bonus.

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT or related field preferred, with 3+ years of related experience in a production environment.

  • Experienced in the implementation of new industrial manufacturing software (MES - manufacturing execution system; CMMS - computerized maintenance management system; SCADA - supervisory control and data acquisition). Knowledge of SAP (production confirmation, label printing, stock movements, etc.). Very good knowledge of MS Office (Intermediate to Advanced Excel).

  • Experience with Production Data Analysis and KPIs / formulating metrics.

  • Interact/work well with all level of employees in various departments (Production, IT, etc.) - ability to use this to successfully train others.

  • Understanding of manufacturing process flow with process analysis/modeling ability an advantage. Basic LEAN tools knowledge. Excellent safety behavior,

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issue. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks 

  • Ability to create/modify SOPs / structured work procedures.
