Dealership Accountant I

 

Dealership Accountant is an entry level position that ensures timely, accurate and consistent recording of dealership transactions. Attention to detail is required. High performers will build upon their accounting & financial acumen while also building relationships and influential leadership skills.  This will serve them well on a path to a Dealership Accountant Role or if coupled with Automotive and Business acumen on the path to a Business Manager. 

  

Position Overview 

Area of Responsibility 

• Responsible for reviewing source data and processing documents for data for entry purposes. 

• Key data from source documents into the system 

• Researching and responding to questions from Business Managers and Parts Managers 

• Maintain logs for tracking purposes. 

• The ability to analyze data and accurately determine appropriate accounting methods is required. 

• Continuously update and manage the accounting coding spreadsheet. 

• Reconcile the general ledger with the factory's inventory to identify any missing items. 

• Other duties as assigned.
