We currently have a career opportunity for a Sr. HR Consultant to join our team located at our Corporate Headquarters in St. Louis, MO. (Hybrid - in office 2x a week)
The Senior HR Consultant is a strategic and hands-on role that provides full cycle Human Resources support and counsel to our business units. This consultant focuses on employee relations, employee development, change management, employee engagement, and retention. This role is critical in executing our people strategic initiatives and programs, providing great internal customer support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement. - A true hands-on approach and the ability to successfully consult with leaders on establishing and nurturing a positive and highly engaged workforce.
- Develop and deliver experiences with people at the center to achieve best practice employee relations programs and policies.
- Serve as a consultant to management on human resources-related issues. Act as a team member champion and change agent.
- Coordinates and delivers leadership development activities with an ongoing focus to improve current and future leaders' overall competency in the organization.
- Assess and anticipate HR-related needs, communicating those needs proactively to the business leaders.
- Develop integrated solutions and formulate partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to leadership and team members that align with the organization's business objectives.
- Proactively monitor trends regarding employee relations and labor relations issues. Utilizes tools and data to provide proactive guidance and counsel related to workforce utilization, retention, compensation, acquiring, and assessing talent.
- Manage confidential and sensitive investigations regarding workplace concerns.
- Collaborate with the broader HR team to analyze employee data and develop strategies for driving increased engagement and retention.
- Partner with HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, and Compensation and Benefits on various company initiatives such as policy, procedure, and process improvements, acquisitions, restructuring, and title mapping activities.
- Support corporate Diversity, Equity & Inclusion programs.
- Provides timely assistance in addressing leader/ employee requests complaints. Provides timely assistance in responding to governmental claims (e.g., EEOC, DOL) as needed.
- Partners with key business leaders to assess resource requirements and assists in the development of workforce plans. Provides support as needed to accelerate integration and effectiveness of new hires.
- Coordinates and manages other ad hoc projects and analyses on compensation trends.
- The ability to understand business goals and recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity, and development of HR within the company
- The ability to be comfortable with high volume workload and not be afraid to "roll up your sleeves" in a matrix and continuously changing environment
- Deep knowledge of US labor relations and labor laws; keeps pace with changes in external labor and employment relations landscape.
- Possesses a blend of deep labor law and employee relations expertise and experience and has a proactive bias by leading and contributing to projects, initiatives, and ongoing programs in collaboration with the organization.
- Approaches decisions proactively and in a fact-based way, make effective and pragmatic choices, balances benefit and risk, maintains compliance, and drives holistic business strategies.
- Solutions focused and comfortable working in an environment that demands strong deliverables along with the ability to identify problems and drive appropriate solutions
- Demonstrates composure in tough situations and does not retreat from constructive conflict.
