Position Summary

The Senior Software Implementation Specialist provides on-site and remote execution of STERS Software Implementations.  The Software Implementation Specialist works directly with the client, software engineering team and internal project team to ensure all requirements for installation and training are met. He/she manages all or portions of projects from the beginning of Pre-Implementations activities through project completion and hand off to helpdesk/support team.

Duties

  • Prepare, plan, and execute software implementations for STERIS Corporation clients.
  • Coordinate with client, STERIS project coordinator, sales, technical resources (programmers, help desk, etc.) and other groups to ensure implementations are on time and within budget.  Coordinate and/or lead all implementation related meetings and events.
  • Assist Sales with pre-implementation Customer Site Visits.  Serve as a software subject matter expert to assist the clients and Sales with implementation and configuration decisions.
  • Assist client and/or vendor with hardware planning and provisioning.  May also complete hardware configuration within the department.
  • Leads for Validation Testing for releases of new STERIS Software/Hardware versions.
  • Responsible for identifying and implementing improvements to Implementation Processes that improves quality, cost, and delivery of implementation/training.
  • Leads on-site and eLearning training of new hires, Implementation Specialists and direct Customers.

  • Software implementation data preparation and editing.  Example: prepare count sheet data for upload into software solutions.
  • Execute hardware and software installation as indicated in project plan.
  • Develop and provide training to end users and client staff.  Create Reference Manuals and Training Material.
  • Conduct implementation and post-implementation assessments.  Produce final report after implementation.
  • Desktop and Network Support / Troubleshooting when not on Customer site and during home weeks.
  • Available for Extensive Travel.  During implementations, will work 100% at client locations.
  • Continually improve implementation and training tools and procedures.

Required Experience

  • Associates Degree Required and 6-7 years experience
  • Must have six years experience installing and using browser based software applications.
  • Must have five years of Customer service and or training experience.
  • Must have three years project coordination/management experience
  • Healthcare Sterile Processing experience preferred. #LI-KS1

Preferred Experience

  • Understands PC networking and is capable of configuring network devices.
  • Proficient in all aspects of PC systems, Windows and Microsoft Office products.
  • Effectively communicates with and trains all levels of staff. (tech-manager)
  • Confidence in training small groups on technical applications (3-10 people)
  • Must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills

Skills

 Pay range for this opportunity is $67,060.00 - $90,279.00. This position is eligible for [BONUS PARTICIPATION] OR a [INSERT COMMISSION RATE RANGE, IF APPLICABLE] commission.

 

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.  Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.

Full-Time employees are eligible for four weeks of paid parental leave. Part-time employees also receive paid parental leave, pro-rated based on their standard hourly work week.
