Corporate Security & Safety Manager

Join us as a Corporate Security & Safety Manager responsible for safeguarding our corporate office environment while leading critical investigative functions across astray freight and claims management.

In this role, you will oversee physical security systems including access control, intrusion detection, and video surveillance, while maintaining strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and law enforcement. You will lead investigations into loss events, shipment discrepancies, and claims, ensuring root cause identification and resolution.

You will also champion workplace safety by driving policy adherence, risk mitigation strategies, and a culture of safety across the office environment.

This role requires a balance of operational security leadership, investigative rigor, and strategic safety oversight to protect people, assets, and brand reputation.

What You’ll Do

Security Operations & Risk Management

  • Oversee daily corporate security operations including access control systems (CCURE), intrusion alarms (DMP), and video management systems (Milestone).

  • Conduct routine security audits and assessments to validate system performance, policy compliance, and risk exposure.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with local law enforcement and emergency responders.

  • Manage third-party guard services (if applicable), ensuring service delivery, post orders, and performance standards are met.

  • Identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions to strengthen the overall security posture.

Investigations, Astray Freight & Claims

  • Lead investigations into lost, missing, or misrouted (astray) freight, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.

  • Manage claims investigations related to theft, damage, and loss, partnering with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Conduct interviews, analyze data (shipment tracking, scan events, access logs, CCTV), and develop case findings.

  • Identify trends and systemic issues contributing to loss and recommend mitigation strategies.

  • Maintain detailed investigative records and support legal or insurance processes as needed.

Safety Leadership

  • Partner with Safety teams to implement and sustain workplace health and safety programs within the corporate office.

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.

  • Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and incident reviews to prevent recurrence.

  • Promote a proactive safety culture through training, awareness, and engagement initiatives.

Training & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Deliver training to employees on security awareness, workplace safety, and incident reporting protocols.

  • Collaborate with HR, Legal, Operations, and IT on security and safety initiatives.

  • Provide executive-level reporting on incidents, trends, and risk mitigation efforts.

Operational Excellence

  • Manage multiple priorities, investigations, and projects simultaneously with strong organization and follow-through.

  • Travel as needed to support investigations, audits, or broader security initiatives (~20%).

What We’re Looking For

  • Background in corporate security, investigations, loss prevention, law enforcement or military police.

  • Minimum 5 years of investigation experience'

  • Leadership or supervisory experience.

  • Experience conducting investigations involving loss, theft, claims, or operational discrepancies.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and identify root causes.

  • Ability to conduct structured interviews and manage sensitive or potentially confrontational situations.

  • Familiarity with security technologies (access control, CCTV, alarms) and investigative tools.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and exercise sound judgment.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Criminal Justice, Security Management, or related field).
