The Brunswick Family Health Center Emergency Department features board-certified, emergency medicine physicians available around-the-clock to provide comprehensive care to adults and children. Depending on the type of visit, there are specific areas designed to take care of individual needs efficiently and compassionately. Backed by the full resources of Cleveland Clinic, the Emergency Department provides advanced care to the Brunswick community.
A caregiver in this position works evening/night rotation, from 7:00pm – 7:30am. Every other weekend and holiday rotating.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Provide direct nursing care.
Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
Educate patients and their families.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program)
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
One year of current acute care RN experience and/or Emergency Department (ED) experience required for ED settings
**Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross (required within one year of employment)
**Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross (required within one year of employment)
