Global Merchandising Associate – Wrangler

Job Summary

  • Supports the development and execution of the global Wrangler product offering to meet or exceed corporate financial requirements.
  • Takes part in key big idea planning and provides volume estimates for the segment.  Reports progress against plans
  • GTM & Line Management: Provides and/or gathers the inputs and outputs that support the GTM calendar at each milestone meeting. 
  • Strong understanding of product, details and attributes.
  • Partners with each region to gain a strong understanding of the consumer needs and gathers insights.
  • Tracks volume projections, cost targets, and margin expectations
  • Creates and maintains the Global master line plans and provides timely updates to the regions
  • Provides overviews and expectations of inputs and outputs of each GTM milestone to the regional teams
  • Maintains and tracks carryover style (together with Regional Merch teams) and life cycle management.  Ensures styles are carried forward or dropped as needed.
  • Provides final consolidated assortment to Tech, PD, Operations, and sourcing teams along with updates after regional line cleaning.
  • Creates tools to communicate the globally aligned styles and shares with brand marketing and design counterparts for photoshoot coordination and hindsight reviews.
  • Tracks and records costing process (target, brief, prototype, bulk samples)
  • Attends and coordinates regular meetings with Regional Merchandising teams (virtual & market visits) to ensure complete awareness of regional needs in terms of line structure, product requirements, pricing architecture, distribution, competitive activity, and critical operational issues
  • Pro-active communication on assortment and product changes.
  • Organizes specific regional asks to be reviewed by the Merchandiser and Director prior to passing to design teams.
  • Supports the creation and management of master line sheets for the global styles
  • Creates the presentation materials for key milestones, brief to brand and regional needs.
  • Serves as a problem-solving resource to cross-functional teams to proactively lead best practice for milestones and process.
  • Builds and maintains global relationships: Create, drive, and sustain highly effective and influential vital relationships with internal and external partners to deliver business objectives.  Develop understanding and empathy for global regions and their business needs
  • Coordinate effectively between Global Design, PD, and Brand/Marketing partners
  • Ensure Operations & Sourcing Team is kept informed of all line decisions relevant to the product offer and work together on achieving financial and inventory objectives

Responsibilities

  • Global alignment – Global brief and line plan gathering and consolidation of NAM, EMEA, APAC, CASA
  • Operational Management – Line sheet entry and maintenance, carry-over monitoring
  • Operational Management – supply chain support and cross-functional partnership  
  • Cross-functional Coordination with Global Design, PD and Tech
  • Business analysis - line development and adoption tracking; regional business tracking and reporting
  • Brand Coordination (seasonal collaboration on presentation material, on-product ticketing, photoshoots)
  • Support for Global sell in needs (Samples, Global product launch materials)

Experience

  • 3 years of Merchandising experience
  • 1-2 years of Operational Strategy experience
  • 3 years of Cross-functional Coordination experience
  • 2 years of Experience with complex problem-solving

Note: Global working hours will be required

Global Experience preferred but not required

  • College Graduate
