Requisition ID req37134 Working Title Medical Education Prog Coordinator Position Grade 10 Position Summary The Division of General Internal Medicine/Geriatrics, within the Department of Internal Medicine, is seeking a detailed and organized professional who learns new software easily and enjoys interacting with different people, this medical education coordinator position offers excellent opportunities. Our program coordinator will manage day-to-day administrative, operational, and fiscal activities of General Internal Medicine and Geriatrics Residency, Fellowship, and Internship programs. This is a busy and dynamic position working in a collaborative and friendly team. The medical education program coordinator will serve as an important liaison and facilitator, problem-solver and communicator. The successful candidate will have proven success in a team environment and possess the following qualities: data management and computer/software aptitude; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously; be responsive and very detail-oriented; value exceptional customer service; and strictly maintain confidentiality.This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, and excellent communication skills. The coordinator works closely with program leadership, faculty, residents, and patients, serving as a central point of contact for programmatic, clinical, and administrative functions.

Conditions of Employment Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, Teams etc., SmartSheet, UNM Banner
- Experience with medical education (residency and/or fellowships), accreditation and certification requirements and standards (ACGME)
- Experience with complex scheduling, coordinating meetings/events virtually (Zoom) and in-person
- Demonstrated ability to learn new systems, effectively balance priorities and meet customer needs in a timely manner
