Join Learning Grove, a premier nonprofit early childhood education provider in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, as an Early Childhood Education Assistant Teacher. With over 40 years of dedicated service, our centers nurture children ages 6 weeks through 6 years in beautiful, high-quality classrooms. In this role, you will work alongside lead teachers and center directors to bring dynamic learning plans to life. Using the principles of Constructivist Theory and a focus on social-emotional learning, you will help create an engaging, safe, and stimulating environment that supports the critical developmental stages of our young learners.
Job Requirements
- Education & Experience:
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
- Prior experience working with young children in an educational setting is preferred.
- Completion of a State Approved Orientation for Child Care Providers with consistent daily implementation and support from the Director/Assistant Director.
- Skills & Abilities:
- Proficient in classroom management using positive redirection, problem-solving, setting appropriate limits, and active listening.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster effective parent communications and team collaboration.
- Commitment to upholding equity, diversity, and inclusivity in education.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding program, families, children, and staff.
- Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift objects up to 20 pounds.
