Job Description
AECOM Hunt is seeking an Entry Level Construction Project Engineer to be based in New Orleans, Louisiana.
This position is expected to begin in May 2024.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting the project management team by overseeing construction administration tasks.
- Preparing subcontractor reports as needed to keep the supervisor and client informed of ongoing progress.
- Participating in site visits.
- Coordinating and assisting the superintendent as required.
- Receiving, reviewing, and submitting documents for approval (Submittals, RFIs, etc.).
- Assisting project managers with costs and scheduling to ensure completion of project within budget and in conformance with contract.
- Working with document control systems, project management systems, and other software or databases to keep information flow up-to-date and accurate.
- Attending meetings and reporting on project tasks as needed.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in Autodesk, Primavera P6, and/or similar software.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage schedules and ensure quality and safety.
- Prior related intern experience preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

- This position may require working on shifts including graveyard shift.
- As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a substance abuse test.
- In order to receive a security badge at the client worksite to enable access to secure portions of the facility for which you are being hired to perform services, you may be required to pass the client's security screening process, which will include, but may not be limited to, a Homeland Security background check and fingerprinting. Should this be required, it will be done after you have commenced employment, and your participation in that process and a pass rating by the client are both conditions of your continued employment by AECOM.
- Offered rate of compensation (Louisiana locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The hourly range for this position is $23 - $32/hr.
