Job Description

• Conducts deep troubleshooting of systems and equipment to identify root cause of failures.
• Identify/define containment and sustainable solution, with support of product engineers.
• Reports all test and field work in a timely manner.
• Update Test KPI and report findings and deviations related to the expected behavior of such function or database.
• Work with test related documentation, such as control plan for testing, test instructions and test records.
• Performs test activities and fills in test records.
• Participates in meetings regarding test planning and test activities.
• Follow and track the document lifecycle up to the date it was published in PDM/AEC.
• Execute, record, and monitor field activities using the RQM (Rational Quality Manager) to ensure comprehensive documentation and effective project management.
• Use the myField platform for planning, lookahead scheduling, and detailed reporting of all field activities.
• Report and track all Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) related to field activities.
• Record inspection/test results and test configuration.

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable on railway systems: Signaling principles, Troubleshooting, Software installation, Log retrieval
• Experience in creating test procedures.
• Experience in compiling field results in Test Reports.
• Experience in test execution.
• Engineering degree
• Minimum two years of experience as test engineer in railway sector
• Experience in signaling and communications, preferrable in CBTC
• Experience in telecommunications, server’s configuration, Network and RF
