Monday through Friday 7:45am - 5:15pm

Position Overview

 Knox Auto Parts - Birmingham is looking for a Counter Auto Parts Salesperson responsible for communicating with customers and other departments in a timely and professional way to maximize sales and customer service.

Essential Job Functions

• Assist customers on the counter.
• Look up correct vehicle information in Pinnacle.
• Enter and process customer orders in a basic Point of Sales computer.
• Taking payments cash or credit, balancing cash drawers.
• Answer telephone, emails and text leads in a timely and professional way
• Ask all the necessary questions to ensure the customer is getting the best possible part for their needs.
• Sell warranties on parts to ensure the customer has protection in place in the event a part does not work.
• Communicate with other departments (i.e. accounting, delivery, parts fulfillment) to complete work orders.
• Build relationships with customers.
• Follow up on leads or inquiries.
• Assist the customers of other salesmen when necessary.

Requirements

• Customer Service etiquette
• (1) year Retail Sales experience is a must
• Spanish/English speaking is required. 
• Outgoing and good communicational skills
• Ability to identify auto parts.
• Ability to build a rapport with customers.
• Experience utilizing Pinnacle software.
• Work in a fast-paced environment
