JOB SUMMARY:
Sky Zone is seeking a proactive and experienced multi -unit People & Culture Manager to lead and oversee field employee relations, ensuring a positive and productive work environment. This role involves managing workplace issues, conducting investigations, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and fostering a culture of trust and fairness. The People & Culture Manager will serve as a key advisor to field management and employees, driving policies and initiatives that support organizational goals and employee well-being.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, years of experience may take place of formal education.
- Human Resources certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in Human Resources, employee relations, or a similar role, with a heavy focus on conducting workplace investigations, resolving conflicts, and enhancing employee engagement by addressing grievances and fostering positive work environments.
- Experience supporting multi-unit and multi-state operations across industries such as retail, hospitality, fitness, entertainment, or other related sectors.
- Skilled in supporting fast-paced, rapidly growing environments with a workforce of at least 1,000 employees.
- Strong preference for candidates with experience working with minors.
- Thorough knowledge of labor laws and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, with required expertise of California and Washington.
- Exposure to payroll processes and working in Workday considered a bonus.
- Able to commit to 30% travel to assigned region.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships of trust and respect with employees, managers, and leadership.
- Empathetic, patient, and skilled in active listening, consistently developing solutions that address employee concerns while aligning with company standards and values.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to handle a high volume of cases or concerns simultaneously while maintaining organized records and tracking progress.

- Serve as point of contact for People & Culture (HR), helping guide to the right departments when necessary.
- Partner with other P&C team members in worlds of compliance, recruiting, payroll, HRIS, and benefits.
- Partner with P&C and leadership to develop strategies for employee engagement, retention, and workplace satisfaction.
- Develop and implement employee relations policies and best practices to promote a fair, positive, and inclusive work environment.
- Conduct and oversee workplace investigations, including employee complaints, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
- Provide guidance and coaching to managers and employees on workplace issues, performance management, and company policies.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations, make recommendations to policies as needed.
