Summary / Role Purpose
Join the Ansys Customer Excellence team and play a key role in advancing Reliability Engineering solutions for our customers. As a Reliability Sales Specialist, you will drive sales of reliability-focused engineering services and help integrate Ansys simulation and analysis tools into customer workflows. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring products are designed for durability, safety, and optimal performance, helping customers mitigate risk and enhance product reliability. You will lead opportunity development, scoping, pricing, management, and closing, collaborating closely with customers, account management, and service delivery teams to ensure a seamless proposal process and transition to project kickoff and execution.
Key Responsibilities

Lead reliability-focused opportunities, ensuring customers maximize the value of Ansys Reliability Engineering solutions, including lifecycle prediction, failure analysis, fatigue assessment, and risk mitigation strategies.

Partner with Ansys Account Managers to proactively identify, qualify, and scope new Reliability Engineering service opportunities.

Serve as the primary point of contact for legacy customers requiring enhancements to their reliability and safety analysis workflows.

Organize and lead scoping calls with technical experts and potential customers, aligning on reliability objectives and understanding customer technical and business requirements.

Manage the reliability engineering sales pipeline, including sales opportunity tracking in Salesforce, providing insights in weekly management reviews regarding next steps, probability of close, and closing strategy

Facilitate negotiations for nondisclosure and proprietary information agreements with customers and legal teams.

Develop, price, and finalize service quotes, working with technical teams to define failure mode analysis, probabilistic risk assessments, and safety compliance evaluations.

Oversee customer follow-ups, ensuring alignment between engineering goals and project execution.

Work with project accounting teams to process purchase orders and service order bookings efficiently.

Guide Reliability Engineering service opportunities from discovery to successful close, creating strong partnerships with customers and account teams..

Define project scope, goals, requirements, and deliverables, with a strong focus on reliability engineering principles.

Partner with marketing and account teams to develop and lead effective strategies for identifying and winning business from new customers and industries.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years (BS) or 3 years (MS experience in an engineering software or reliability engineering environment.

Proven experience in services sales and the ability to quickly learn, understand, and communicate the core value proposition.

Ability to interact effectively with senior business managers and engineering teams to align on reliability-focused project goals.

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including technical customer presentations.

Business acumen with a professional presence and a results-driven mindset.
