Software Engineering Intern

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Intern to join our Information Systems team to design, develop, and maintain software systems that support the distribution of incentives for clean energy technologies.

This part-time position (up to 20 hrs/week) will provide you with the opportunity to collaborate daily with staff in the Information Systems(IS) department and beyond. This means supporting a variety of teams with tasks and reports that directly impact the present and future of our program.

Energy Solutions has a remote-friendly work environment for staff throughout the United States. We also have offices in Oakland and Orange, California, as well as Portland, Boston, New York, and Chicago for those who wish to work from one of our offices.

 

Due to the scope of this role, you may touch on a variety of project elements to make it a fulfilling experience. Opportunities include:

• Full stack Python/Django web development
• Data analysis
• Implementing APIs
• Collaboration with professional software teams.

 

To enable you for success, we are seeking candidates with these qualifications:

• No years of experience in Python
• No years of experience PostgreSQL or similar relational database experience
• Experience gathering, tracking, and sorting data
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a variety of teams from different departments.

 

Compensation to commensurate with experience with the pay band of $25 - $30/Hourly

 
In order to be eligible for this position, you must be:

• Currently be enrolled full- or part-time in an undergraduate program as a second to fourth-year student or enrolled in a graduate program

• Available to meet your weekly hours requirement between May and August for Summer and between September and November for Fall
