About the role
The Float Clinical Resource is a versatile and adaptable clinical professional responsible for providing high-quality patient care across various specialty and primary care departments within the clinic. The clinical resource will be deployed to different areas based on patient volume and staffing needs, ensuring efficient clinic operations and optimal patient care. As a RN/LPN Float, you will:
- Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care:
- Perform comprehensive assessments and deliver nursing care in alignment with clinic protocols and standards.
- Administer medications, injections, and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor patient conditions, document observations, and communicate changes to healthcare providers promptly.
- Support Clinic Operations:
- Assist in various departments, including but not limited to internal medicine, cardiology, orthopedics, and pediatrics.
- Provide support during procedures and examinations, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Educate patients and families on health management, treatments, and follow-up care.
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and clinic policies.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with healthcare providers, medical assistants, and administrative staff to deliver coordinated care.
- Participate in team meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Licensure:
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) or License Practice Nurse
- Licensed Practice Nurse
- Certified Medical Assistant
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in an ambulatory care or multi-specialty clinic setting.
- Cross-training or experience in multiple specialties is highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to adapt to different specialty areas.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using EHR systems and basic computer applications.
