Taher, Inc is growing and is looking for a Production Cook to join our team!
 

Position Summary

The Prep Cook is responsible for preparing ingredients according to standardized recipes, production schedules, and food safety standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and portion ingredients for production
  • Follow standardized recipes and cooking procedures
  • Cook food according to company standards
  • Complete production paperwork and documentation
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
  • Remove damaged or incorrect product when identified
  • Assist with inventory organization and ingredient preparation
  • Follow all food safety and handling procedures
  • Support team members and production needs as assigned
  • Ensures quality standard are met and Correctly prepared and within acceptable time limits
  • Managing ordering, receiving, storing and inventory control of all perishable products following specific procedures and HACCP standards
  • Controlling waste
  • Using time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Performs additional related duties as assigned by leadership

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Food service or kitchen experience preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
  • 2 years' previous experience preferred
  • Do simple arithmetic
  • Able to lift up to 50 Lbs. and stand for long periods of time
  • Dependable, Punctual
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance
  • safe food handling procedures and guidelines
  • Successfully pass a criminal background check
