Neurobehavioral Health APP: Outpatient Clinic – Full Time

Bronson Neuroscience Center has an exciting opportunity in Paw Paw, MI for a goal oriented, energetic Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with an outpatient focus supporting our Neurobehavioral Health program. The practice currently consists of a psychiatrist, social worker, and two neuropsychologists.  Our focus is on older adults (55 + patient population) who have dementia, Alzheimer’s, depression, anxiety, or grief caused by loss or trauma.  We use a multi-disciplinary approach to treatment with a team of physicians, nurses, social workers, and therapists.  

The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing personalized, evidence-based, outpatient care at the highest level. We are looking for someone who is a good team-player, eager to learn, has great communications skills, and a passion for advocacy and education. This position has a Monday – Friday schedule with no weekends, holidays, or call requirements. The Neurobehavioral Health clinic is part of the Bronson Neurosciences Center with specialty services including neurology, neurosurgery, neuroendovascular, sleep health, physiatry, and neurodiagnostics with locations throughout southwest Michigan.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current Michigan licensure/certification as a Psychiatric-Mental health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant
• 1-3 years experience in mental health or geriatrics is strongly preferred
• New graduates welcome to apply
• Excellent critical thinking, interpersonal, and communication skills

• DEA Certification

• Must be able to practice independently with strong clinical decision making; communicate clearly with patients and caregivers and be able to navigate well through the EMR (Epic).
