Job Summary:
The Sales Account Executive for Building Materials identifies and pursues new market opportunities, establishes relationships with potential customers, and develops strategies to increase market share in assigned territory.
Responsibilities:
Prospects for potential new clients within our target market: Pool & Spa Retailers, Pool Builders, Pool & Spa Maintenance firms.
Proactively engages with potential clients through cold calling and strategic marketing efforts, initiating the first step towards long-lasting business relationships.
Skillfully secures sales agreements and proactively engages with the customer to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Crafts and executes targeted strategic plans aimed at breaking into and establishing a strong presence in new markets.
Cultivates and deepens relationships with prospective customers by understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
Designs and presents persuasive and customized presentations and proposals that effectively communicate value propositions to potential customers, driving business growth.
Collaborates with marketing team to develop targeted campaigns for new business acquisition.
Collaborates with the Business Development Representative to identify new business targets and optimize existing customer leads through market and industry analysis.
Partners with Sales Center, Regional and Divisional managers to grow the business.
Promptly finalizes and submits all required internal reports and documentation, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
Performs additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 4 years of experience in professional-level business-to-business sales, or BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Sales, or relevant field, or a combination of education and experience that provides the equivalent qualifications.
A proven track record of successful sales in a wholesale environment.
Ability to cold call on prospective clients.
A strong knowledge of one or more of the following product lines: building materials, tile, decking, exterior lighting, construction materials, or similar tangible goods.
Holds a valid driver’s license, a “satisfactory” driving record (no more than 2 violations within 3 years) and is willing to travel 75% of the time within a designated area.
Occasionally lift and move up to 75 pounds.
Strong computer skills including knowledge of MS Office WORD and EXCEL.
Knowledge of AMP or similar customer management system preferred.
Knowledge of Prelude or similar inventory control software helpful.
