Job Description Summary
This position supports the Industrial Kitchen Concept by focusing on Primary Pathogen Control Areas (PPCAs). This position also supports the Sanitation Effectiveness and Environmental Monitoring for Pathogens programs.
Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):
Maintains safe work practices at all times and participates in safety programs.
Maintains clean and sanitary conditions in fryer areas, vestibule, sorter decks, scale decks and tote rooms by hand scrubbing, chemical foaming, shoveling, scraping, rinsing and sweeping.
Performs detailed cleaning and sanitizing using brushes, scrub pads, stationary and portable foamers, powered floor cleaning machines, specialized cleaning chemicals and tools.
Responsibilities of this position are as follows:
Performs targeted cleaning using hand scrub brushes and pads
Proper handling and use of concentrated hazardous chemicals
Proper use of hand and power cleaning equipment
Maintain neat and safe work area
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Specialized cleaning and sanitizing activities
- Daily handling of hazardous chemicals
- Daily product and crumb removal from floors and framework
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Based on a twelve-hour workday.
S - Seldom 1% to 10% O - Occasional 10% to 30%
F - Frequent 30% to 70% C - Constant Over 70%
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume for the proper mixing of chemicals.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English. Ability to write accurate information on simple forms in English. Ability to effectively present or listen to information in oneonone and small group situations with all other employees of the organization in English.
