The Engagement Manager will work as part of the Alumni Careers and Working Professionals team at IE University on student and alumni engagement by 1) creating meaningful connections and 2) implementing our career support strategy for graduates. They will report to the Director of Alumni Careers & Working Professionals and be part of a vibrant, diverse team of seasoned and international professionals who are motivated, committed, creative and always go the extra mile.

We are looking for a person to join a full-time position in Madrid.

 

Responsibilities

Your role as Engagement Manager will involve:

 

1.Creating meaningful connections  

 

Relationship Building – outward-facing:

  • Establish and cultivate meaningful, authentic, trust-based relationships with students and alumni from the Business School to foster a sense of belonging and lifelong connection, evidenced by:  
    • Recognising key players within student and alumni cohorts and establishing enduring and trust-based relationships with them 
    • Detailing and compiling student and alumni interactions and analysing the results to drive strategy and better serve our community 
    • Constant contact with students and alumni through a variety of mediums (including the planning and delivery of events) to ensure that we are catering to their needs and increasing their connection to their alma mater   

Relationship building – internal collaboration:

  • Build upon and expand existing relationships within the institution to promote the success of students and alumni, evidenced by:  
    • Collaborating with internal departments (e.g. Program Management and Experience, Global Alumni Relations, Talent and Careers, Executive Education) in order to identify and design initiatives that will enrich the student and alumni experience and elevate the brand  
    • Collect, detail and report on feedback from students and alumni that lead to continuous improvement and drive strategy change for student and alumni engagement and success (refine offerings for future students and alumni; optimise the quality of future students; foster greater diversity etc.)  

2. Implementing our career support strategy  Execute the engagement and Alumni Careers strategies that are specifically tailored to students and recent graduates of the university   

 

In addition, the role will involve: 

  • Event planning and budget management 
  • Process design, optimisation and implementation 
  • KPI measurement and publication of success to higher management
