Four Seasons Resort and Residences features two exciting restaurants: Truss Restaurant + Bar AND our Fine Dining MICHELIN Star restaurant Auro.
The Position/Role
The Bartender is an essential member of the team. They are an integral part of putting Truss and Auro on the map. Bartenders attend to the guests needs by providing exceptional knowledge of wine spirits and mixed drinks as well as information regarding preparation methods. Bartenders respond to all interactions in an efficient, courteous and professional manner to achieve maximum customer satisfaction and attend to guest needs and requests with a sense of urgency in the Resort’s Food & Beverage areas.
Responsibilities
Prepare and serve a selection of wines, spirits and mixed drinks from the menu while ensuring proper pouring, mixing, and blending according to established recipes and established Four Seasons Standards.
Maintain a strong working knowledge of all alcoholic and non-alcoholic ingredients and drinks to answer questions and accommodate off-menu requests.
Confirm guest orders including any special needs or requests from the lounge server using the hotel’s point-of-sales system; check completed orders with the guest’s original order.
Service and take orders from guests seated at a bar area offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of each item’s, origin, taste, and preparation methods.
Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
Breakdown, clean and set-up of bar and back-bar stations.
Properly and accurately close guest checks; process cash and credit card payments; properly settle voided checks or complimentary items.
Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact.
Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
Serve food items in the bar area.
Assist with bar inventory.
Assist with set-up and cleaning of operational areas.
Take guest reservations.
Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by management.
Assists with responsibilities and duties in the absence of or due to heavy volume in areas of Food & Beverage when needed.
Who You Are
High school education or equivalent experiences.
Minimum two years bartending or related work.
Knowledge of Napa Valley and surrounding areas, highly desirable, however not required.
Preferred experience in a luxury resort or hotel.
Must of Food Handlers Permit and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Permit.
Must be flexible with schedule - Able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, evening/overnight shifts.
Strong written and oral presentation skills.
Ability to multi-task in a high volume and demanding environment.
Ability to pour, mix, and blend a wide variety, of wines, spirits, and missed drinks.
