Director, Site of Care - Southeast
What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. As part of our commitment to delivering breakthrough care, we are seeking a Director, Site of Care to lead a team of field-based professionals focused on expanding patient access to infused therapies.
This role will serve as a critical leadership point in our Patient Access & Key Account Strategy by shaping the go-to-market model across physician-office infusion stakeholders and managing buy-and-bill & patient access dynamics. The Director will guide strategic pull-through across the physician-office infusion segment and ensure seamless treatment access.
In addition, the Director will act as a Brand Market Access Lead for one of Amgen’s infused products, ensuring alignment with commercial goals and market access imperatives.
This role is critical in ensuring patients receive timely access to infused therapies by providing deep strategic oversight of access, distribution, and affordability obstacles that may delay time-to-treatment. The Director will align with Patient Access & Field Sales to ensure a unified and efficient pull-through model that supports provider success and enhances the patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & People Development
- Lead and coach Area Leads, Site of Care supporting strategic account access for physician office infusion sites for Amgen’s infused portfolio
- Develop team capabilities in reimbursement & buy-and-bill navigation, account strategy, and provider engagement
- Monitor and hold accountable individual and team performance against KPIs and support a culture of excellence, compliance, and growth
Access Strategy Execution (Provider-Centric)
- Oversee the execution of physician office infusion network strategy at the provider level
- Identify performance gaps across geographic regions and work with teams to address provider operational barriers
- Guide infusion provider enablement through education, onboarding support, and collaboration with internal partners
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Sales, Patient Access, Trade/Distribution, Access Strategy) to ensure cohesive execution
Key Account Leadership
- Cultivate relationships with key physician-office infusion stakeholders
- Partner with internal functions to ensure field efforts reflect brand priorities, site of care trends for medical benefit products, and provider capabilities
- Serve as the central point of alignment for field-based pull-through efforts related to strategic account coverage and readiness
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree required (Business, Public Health, or Science discipline preferred)
- 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industry; 6+ years of leadership or people management
- Minimum 8 years in market access, field reimbursement, or key account management with infused or medical benefit therapies
- Experience supporting physician office sites of care
- Demonstrated success with rare disease
- Familiarity with reimbursement dynamics, access operations, distribution models, and provider billing processes
- Therapeutic area experience Rheumatology preferred
- Strong leadership and coaching skills; ability to guide high-performing field teams
- Effective influencer in cross-functional, matrixed environments
- Strong analytical, planning, and communication skills
