Who We're Looking For
This position is responsible for analyzing, developing, testing, and supporting complex security implementations and as a lead role there is an expectation of mentorship for other security engineers and security administrators. These security implementations must be developed and maintained with high-quality standards and minimal defects. Builds and defines applications and processes to support near and long-term operations and services. Reviews internal processes, improves them, and programs tools to automate.-
Some of What You'll Do
Scope of the Role:
- Direct Reports: This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports
- Operational Efficiencies: Continuously monitor current processes and identify opportunities for improvement in both process and tool automation.
- Identity Governance and Administration System: Manage the current IGA tool by monitoring for issues, improving functionality, connecting disconnected systems and building & maintaining workflows.
- Privileged Access Management: Manage the solution for privileged access management for human and non-human identities.
- Active Directory (AD): Participate in the maintenance and support of the Active Directory deployment.
- Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP): Participate in the maintenance and support of the LDAP deployment.
- Passwordless Strategy: I collaboration with Security Engineering, drive a passwordless strategy deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Designs, analyzes, and documents security applications supporting the Identity and Access Management (IAM) function.
- Investigates and analyzes verbal and written requests for application security, interpreting application requirements to construct highly complex applications.
- Writes technical documentation for routines and applications, facilitating their maintenance.
- Constructs, tests, installs, and maintains security applications used within the IAM function.
- Develops highly complex security controls and principles, which is maintainable, easy to use, and satisfies implementation requirements.
- Develops and executes security test plans, analyzes test results, and makes appropriate revisions to ensure the applications function as specified.
- Contributes to the planning for acceptance testing and implementation of new security framework components, performing supporting activities to ensure that customers have the information and assistance they need for a successful implementation.
- Provides work direction to team members who construct, test, install, and maintain security implementations
- Leads investigates application incidents for missing or incorrect functionality.
- Leads and partners with Engineers on incident resolution and estimates application changes.
- Applies resolutions, leading to timely, error free revisions in applications.
- Leads configuration management tasks.
- Creates a structure and design framework including security design; end-user environment; hardware, security and network environment; and methodologies and standards.
- Leads and participates on project teams across multiple verticals in Cyber Security
- Works with and in some instances provides work direction to our vendor partners
Experience, Education, and Certifications:
- 8+ years of Cyber Security Engineering Experience
- 5+ yrs experience in SailPoint & BeyondTrust
- Bachelor's Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science or a related field
- Advanced knowledge of multiple security frameworks
- Advanced knowledge of relevant operating systems and communication interfaces
- Advanced knowledge of security design and testing principles
- Advanced knowledge of log aggregation and event correlation strategies
- Background in the telecommunications industry desired
