#Full Time Cardiac Step Down Unit
Responsible for collaborating with physicians, advance practice providers (APPs), and other medical staff to evaluate, plan, and implement patient assessments and follow-ups. Directly involved in patient care through medical consultation, research, treatments, and education. Specializes in Cardiology and recommends appropriate course of treatment through medical diagnosis while working closely with the physicians.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Supervises treatments and evaluates patients, order tests or scans, diagnoses diseases, and prescribes medications.
2. Provides medical consultation on both invasive and non-invasive cardiology procedures.
3. Specializes in cardiology and provides subject matter expertise and treatment courses on heart health and wellness.
4. Partners with physicians in developing treatment plans and advises physicians on changes in a patient's condition.
5. Monitors and ensures accuracy of patient medical records.
6. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required:
1. Graduate of Nurse Practitioner Program, Graduate of Physician Assistant Program.
License in New Jersey required
> 2 years current critical care Advanced Provider experience
