Position Purpose: The Advanced Neurotherapy Technician is responsible for administering and monitoring Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Spravato (Esketamine) treatment sessions for patients with treatment-resistant depression. This role ensures the delivery of services in a safe, ethical and compliant manner, maintaining a therapeutic environment in line with all relevant regulatory and accreditation standards. The technician contributes to the continuity of care, supporting patients throughout their treatment process.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum CNA, CMA or EMT certification or greater
- Demonstrated addiction treatment experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid training complete within three months
- Skilled in behavioral management techniques
- Ability to lead discussion and educational presentations
- Belief in the mission and vision of Rosecrance
Essential Responsibilities:
- Work hours prescribed and any additional hours required to complete responsibilities.
- Conduct client health history assessments, and report to psychiatric provider prior to appointment.
- Administer Spravato treatments and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) sessions according to provider protocols, ensuring patient safety and response monitoring.
- Assess and monitor vital signs and patient responses during treatment, documenting adverse events and notifying the provider and treatment team as needed.
- Report physical or psychological concerns to medical and clinical staff in a timely manner and advocate for client welfare.
- Administer psychiatric rating scales, counsel patients on scale completion, and ensure proper documentation in the Electronic Health Record.
- Complete all required documentation in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with specialty pharmacies for timely shipment of Spravato and communicate new orders to providers as necessary.
- Track insurance authorizations, assist with preauthorization and reimbursement documentation, and schedule patient visits.
- Submit REMS monitoring forms for Spravato treatments and assist with consultations when needed.
- Maintain open communication with leadership and team members to ensure effective treatment and client progress.
- Participate in all team meetings, activities, and any additional duties as assigned, contributing to the success of the treatment program.
- Adhere to the principles of the Rosecrance Corporate Compliance Program and Code of Conduct, ensuring all actions are in line with legal and ethical standards.
- Serve as a role model for all staff, clients, and customers, exemplifying positive guest relations and company stewardship.
- Assume other related responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 12:00pm-8:30pm
Work Location: Rosecrance River North – Chicago, IL (Onsite)
