Advanced Controls Development Engineer
General MotorsAbout the role
Job Description
Role Summary:
Are you a performance driving enthusiast? Does working on cutting edge chassis technology get you excited to come to work? Do you enjoy working on software and calibration? Are you creative, innovative, and eager to do things we’ve never done before at GM? If so, you should apply for our new Advanced Chassis Development Engineer role. In this role, you will be in charge of developing first time features for Active Chassis. The role will require you to work on a full range of testing tools from simulation to in vehicle testing and everything in between.
The automotive industry is undergoing rapid transformational changes as new chassis technologies are applied to vehicle architectures resulting in innovations to systems and customer centric features. These changes require the development of new mechatronic chassis systems that influence vehicle dynamics and control steering, braking, driveline and suspension systems.
In this role you will be responsible for the development of advanced chassis technologies with a focus on control requirements, design, calibration and testing for mechatronic systems. You will be part of a cross-functional team, working with GM engineers, suppliers, and academia to leverage invention/ideation in order to develop and verify proof of concept solutions for future GM products.
