About the role

Advanced Automated Equipment Set-Up Operator 
Immediate opportunities are available for talented Advanced Automated Set-Up Equipment Operators who want to become part of the Johnson Controls team. Operate, setup and troubleshoot equipment with automated transfer systems, CNC turrets, Laser cutters and automated bending cells. 

 

Pay 

$22.50/h  + 1.25 shift differential

Schedule 

2:30 PM - 11 PM

What You’ll Do 

  • Troubleshoot setup related issues which may require frequent adjustments of settings, system parameters, load and edit programs and load and edit tool set-ups. 

  • Perform die changeovers. 

  • Perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment. 

  • Perform quality checks to include first and last part inspection. 

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud. 

  • Other duties as assigned. 

 

What We Look For: 

  • Ability to read blueprints. 

  • Experience using standard measuring equipment. 

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in machining (CNC, Laser jet, plasma cutter, water jet, lathe), mechanical experience creating a manufacturing production. 

 

Preferable Experience: 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with multiple machines- CNC, 5 axis or above. 

 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to lift and move heavy steel materials (up to 50 lbs or more). 

  • Ability to stand, bend, stair climb, and work in a fast-paced environment for extended periods (8+ hours). 

  • Capability to work in various industrial conditions (e.g., noise, heat, etc.)
