Major Duties
Under general supervision, the Administrative Support Assistant supports daily office operations, coordinates advising appointments and workshops, prepares materials and correspondence, maintains records and the department website, processes student mailings, provides logistical support for events, and assists with administrative functions to ensure efficient Student Services Center/EOP operations.
- Serves as receptionist and first point of contact for students, faculty, and staff.
- Assesses student needs, schedules advising appointments and workshops through EAB, and makes referrals to appropriate campus resources.
- Supports the Administrative Support Coordinator and Director of College Advising with daily office operations, including travel requests, reimbursements, office supply orders, and personnel-related documents.
- Maintains and updates the Department website.
- Provides logistical support for unit projects, special initiatives, and events.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Equivalent to three (3) years of full-time, general office clerical work that has provided the applicant with the knowledge and abilities listed.
- Equivalent to full-time college or university education/vocational school training in business or job-related field may be substituted for up to two (2) years of the required experience on a year for year basis.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and coordinate multiple administrative activities simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, databases, and office technology.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare professional correspondence and reports.
- Strong attention to detail, initiative, judgment, and discretion when handling confidential information.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, students, and provide work direction to student assistants
Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule

- Classification: 1032 / Admin Support Assistant / Grade 2
- The anticipated HIRING RANGE is $3565– $3783 per month, dependent on qualifications and experience. The salary range for this classification is: $3565 - $5092 per month.
- HOURS: Full Time; 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday. May include evenings and weekends.
- This is a Regular position with a one-year probationary period.
- The position is currently hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day remote); however, this is subject to change based on student and/or operational needs.
