In this dynamic, public-facing role, you will be the first point of contact for residents and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while answering inquiries, processing registrations and monetary transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting a variety of recreational programs and services. About This Role: 

The Administrative Specialist is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while overseeing daily front office operations and supporting departmental programs. This role provides leadership to front desk staff through training, scheduling, performance support, and operational guidance. Responsibilities include managing administrative functions, maintaining records, processing financial transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with County policies and procedures. The position also supports recreation programs, facility reservations, community events, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure efficient and effective department operations. The ideal candidate must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information, and demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills.


Minimum Requirements:


  • High school diploma or GED and 2 years of administrative or clerical experience, including data entry and records experience.


Preferences:


  • Proficiency with Recreation Software (RecTrac, ePact)
  • Strong customer service and communication skills 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Bilingual 
  • Cash Handling Experience


Work Schedule:


  • 37.5 hours a week
  • Monday – Friday
  • Some evening, Saturday or Sunday when needed


Hiring Salary Range: $30.67-$36.09
