The part-time Administrative Associate II provides routine administrative support for the Learning Center under general supervision. This position supports the tutoring staff, programs, and services.
Applicants must be authorized to work for any US employer. The department is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Communication & Front Desk Support
Greets visitors, answers and screens calls, monitors the center’s email account, provides information and referrals, and schedules appointments.
Receives, sorts, and routes mail and performs other mail services.
Administrative Processing & Data Management
Performs word processing, desktop publishing, presentation, and data management activities, and assists staff with the use of these applications.
Posts information to agency records and modifies forms or records.
Verifies, processes, and reviews forms, reports, and other documents.
Tracks appointment data and generates reports as needed.
Scheduling & Coordination
Maintains tutoring schedules, makes arrangements for meetings, appointments, conferences, and travel.
Coordinates communication with various university departments and supports the director in special projects.
Supplies, Equipment, and Reference Materials
Maintains office supplies and equipment.
Maintains office reference materials including online office materials.
May deliver, pick up, or receive cash payments, documents, supplies, equipment, or materials.
Policy Guidance & Other Duties
Applies, interprets, and communicates policies and procedures and serves as a resource for answering questions regarding policies.
May serve as a liaison for departmental equipment and service contracts.
May participate in hiring, training, and supervision of student workers and other support staff.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two years of related experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Hours:
Monday–Wednesday: 10 AM–3 PM
Thursday: 10 AM–2:30 PM
Pay: $15.00/hr
