We are currently seeking a highly organized and responsible Administrative Assistant to join our team. This role will be responsible for a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our office. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of office management procedures, bookkeeping principles, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

What You Will Do

  • Support our practice’s Office Manager/Accountant and IT Manager to ensure the office is running efficiently and productively.
  • Manage office supplies inventory; place and receive orders as necessary.
  • Maintain a safe, secure and orderly working environment, including submitting facility requests with the property manager.
  • Coordinate events and office functions.
  • Oversee the inventory, distribution, and collection of employee badges/keys and other supplies.
  • Support employee recruiting, hiring, onboarding and other HR tasks.
  • Maintain and update our practice’s Sharepoint website as needed.
  • Coordinate and manage office activities and operations in compliance with company and office policies.
  • Support our practice’s Accountant and Billing Managers in tasks related to client invoicing, client budget support, accounts payable, expense reimbursements.
  • Provide support to our practice’s Billing Managers in maintaining Milliman contract records via the online Enterprise Legal Management (ELM) system.
  • Receive and sort incoming mail and deliveries, and manage outgoing mail.
  • Assist with office layout planning and office moves.
  • Provide other administrative support as necessary, including filing, scheduling group meetings, and creating reports.

What We Are Looking For

Professional Qualifications

  • Associates’ college degree or
  • Proficient in Microsoft office products (especially Word and Excel)
  • At least one year in office support, data entry, customer service, retail or property management, or related experience.

Personal Qualifications

  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaborative and customer-oriented
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver’s license

 Our Practice

Milliman's San Diego Health practice is medium sized, with approximately 60 employees and focuses on Health Care actuarial and pharmacy consulting. The office atmosphere is flexible and friendly with a lot of autonomy.

 Location

This position is based out of the Milliman office in San Diego, California. Candidates hired into this role must be willing to work onsite full-time.

 Compensation

The full-time salary range for this nonexempt role is $49,000 to $70,000, depending on a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, location, etc. This role is non-exempt, overtime eligible after 40 hrs.
