Administrative Assistant III
About the Position: The Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) is seeking an Administrative Assistant III to join our Behavioral Health Policy & Provider Regulation Department. This position works under administrative direction and performs confidential clerical office work. Responsibilities include utilizing advanced technological and data processing equipment to provide requested information to internal and external customers, reviewing coded and uncoded source documents, editing documents and reports, and examining and verifying reports and other documents for completeness, appropriateness, adequacy, and conformity to established requirements. The Administrative Assistant III also resolves discrepancies, refers complex discrepancies to appropriate staff, interprets and advises internal and external customers on departmental or program rules, regulations, and laws, and initiates correspondence requiring knowledge of agency or program procedures and policies.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of a bachelor’s degree plus two years of technical clerical, secretarial, or general office work, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preference given to candidates with a degree in a healthcare-related field and/or experience working for a legal or regulatory entity.
