Administrative Assistant/Data Analyst

CMT Services, Inc. has an opening for an Administrative Aide to assist with the daily clerical and logistical needs of the organization.

Administrative Assistant:  Bachelor's degree required which included business courses plus several years of secretarial training above the high school level and several years of secretarial or technical clerical experience which involved working with the public. Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment. Any equivalent combination of relevant training, education and experience shall also be accepted. Applicants shall be proficient in typing. Requires 40 wpm typing speed. Data Analyst training and a financial background preferred. 

Duties: This is not a Remote Position

• Answering phone
• Copying files
• Responding to email
• Assisting visitors
• Maintaining calendars
• Sorting incoming mail 
• Writing and editing memos

Qualifications:

•  Bachelor's degree required
• Organization and people skills
•  Ability to multitask on a wide array of assignments.
•  Experience with typing and other computer tasks
• Advanced MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Economic and fiscal impact analysis: Measuring the economic and fiscal impact of new developments or policies on a specific community.
• Data collection and analysis: Gathering financial data, socioeconomic characteristics, and real estate market information to create visualizations and reports.
• Financial modeling: Building and maintaining financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
• Budget support: Assisting with the budget process by analyzing spending patterns, forecasting future trends, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Data migration: Extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) financial data from multiple systems into a centralized database.
• Dashboard creation: Designing and building dashboards and visualizations using business intelligence tools to convey analytical
• Financial reporting: Preparing financial statements, budget reports, and presentations  
  
  

Technical Skills:

• SQL: For sorting, filtering, and performing calculations on large
• Data visualization: Expertise with tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or GIS software to present complex financial data in an understandable format.
• Spreadsheets: Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including experience with macros and complex calculations.

Soft Skills:

• Critical thinking: The ability to analyze data, identify patterns, and determine the implications of financial trends.
• Attention to detail: Essential for meticulously reviewing financial information and data mapping rules.
• Communication: The ability to clearly explain complex data insights to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Problem-solving: Using a logical and data-driven approach to investigate the root cause of financial issues.
