Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as an Administrative Assistant 1 based out of the Spectrum Center facility in San Diego, CA. This position resides in San Diego and is in direct support of both domestic and international teams.
What you’ll get to do:
The selected candidate will support the E&S Field Engineering Networked Information Solutions team with a variety of duties. The ideal candidate will administratively support the Field Engineering team and must have a track record of excelling in a fast-paced, multi-faceted, and collaborative team-based environment. The position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to multi-task and organize tasks independently, strong office management, interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate well in a team environment. This position will primarily support the Deployment Readiness and Support Team. The nature of the position involves exposure to sensitive and private information necessitating considerable use of tact, diplomacy, discretion, and judgment. Duties will include:
Generate reports, meeting minutes, and action items
Coordinating travel arrangements for employees to include acquisition of passports and immigration requirements
Review Expense reports for accuracy and completeness
Managing calendars, scheduling meetings and conferences, processing travel claims and reservations
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma and 6 months of hands-on experience.
US Citizenship required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access).
Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and follow through in a timely manner.
Travel up to 10% may be required.
Ability to exercise diplomacy and discretion when interfacing with internal and external customers of all levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
Highly skilled with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access).
Experience and proficiency with Concur (or similar) travel and expense reporting system.
Experience and proficiency with iTRIP travel reporting system.
Travel coordinating experience
