About the Opportunity
The FedCash Services’ Business Strategies and Solutions (BS&S) division has an immediate opening for an Administrative Assistant in Richmond, reporting to the assistant manager of FedCash Services Administration. You will work closely with a team of Administrative and Executive Assistants and business analysts in the Richmond and San Francisco Federal Reserve Districts to support the FedCash Services business and our teams, as part of a centrally managed pool. This role is ideal for a candidate who is looking to gain experience in the Fed’s FRFS business line while providing support to our team members.
This role provides administrative support for department units and management including, but not limited to, preparing, revising, and developing documents; maintaining and/or monitoring calendars, coordinating meetings; making travel arrangements for division officers; procuring supplies and processing invoices; maintaining databases; acting as a liaison to other departments; and completing assigned projects. This position is a hybrid role, with in-office days to be expected 3 days per week, Tuesday -Thursday.
What You Will Do:
Produce and edits correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, and presentations, some of which are confidential or sensitive in nature
Coordinate travel arrangements
Support team members by assisting with office space planning
Perform purchasing and payment activities for department, working within established guidelines to ensure compliance with Federal Reserve policies and timely payment of invoices
Develop basic analytical reports and assist with projects of low to average complexity and priority
Perform various department onboarding/offboarding activities, including preparation of workspace, updates to email groups, and creation of new employee information packets.
Collaborate with other Administrative and Executive Assistants in FedCash Services to plan meetings and conferences.
Qualifications:
3- 5+ years of administrative assistant experience High school diploma or GED Working knowledge of the Federal Reserve System and the role of the Federal Reserve Bank preferred
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint along with other various online applications
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
Strong organizational skills, including ability to prioritize multiple tasks appropriately
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail
Basic project management and analytical skills
Strong communication skills to include attentive and timely response to internal or external requests for information
Ability to work independently with moderate supervision and direction
