Position Overview:
The Girard School of Business at Merrimack College is seeking applicants with content expertise and professional applied HR experience in talent acquisition and performance management for the position of Adjunct Lecturer for Summer 2025.
The Adjunct Lecturer will teach a graduate-level, online course in Talent Acquisition & Performance Management (4 credits).
Course Description: This course explores the strategic management of human resources in modern organizations, with a focus on talent acquisition and performance management. Designed for future leaders, the course provides a comprehensive understanding of how human resource management (HRM) contributes to competitive advantage. Students will examine how to align HR practices with organizational goals, strategy, and context to drive success. Key topics include talent acquisition strategies, employee performance management, and value creation for customers and shareholders. By the end of the course, students will gain the skills necessary to effectively manage HR functions that enhance organizational performance and deliver long-term value.
The course will be offered synchronously and will meet one day per week from 7:00-9:00 p.m. over an 8-week period from May 12, 2025 to July 3, 2025.

Primary Responsibilities:
Effectively deliver graduate course(s) that comprise instructional materials that are both engaging and industry aligned.
Course management (e.g., assessments, grading, etc.).
Stay current with emerging trends and advancements to ensure course content is up-to- date and aligned with industry needs.
Mentor and guide students toward academic and professional success.
Maintain regular office hours for student consultations.
Collaborate collegially and professionally to foster a supportive and positive work environment.
Position Qualifications:
An earned Master's or doctoral degree in a business discipline or related area.
Industry experience in relevant position(s) strongly preferred.
Experience with online pedagogy preferred.
Exceptional organizational ability with great attention to detail.
Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and students are essential.
