Active and existing security clearance required after day 1RTX, the world’s largest aerospace and defense company, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer I to join Raytheon’s Air Defense Ground Equipment Mechanical Design team. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and integration of critical defense systems—including radar and communication shelters, launchers, and electronic hardware—while supporting mechanical modeling, documentation, design changes, system integration, and production. This is an On-Site Role in Tewksbury/Andover, MA
What You Will Do:
- Train and apply RTX tools including CREO and PDM.
- Provide design and documentation support using engineering tools, Adobe, and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Perform engineering change and drawing release activities.
- Collaborate with coworkers and diverse teams.
- Conduct analytical and technical engineering work within a program environment, including presenting designs when needed.
- Receive training on Raytheon processes and procedures.
What You Will Learn:
- Mechanical hardware design methods and best practices.
- System integration approaches for radar, communications shelters, electronic subsystems, launchers, and hardware interconnects.
- Use of RTX design, documentation, and configuration tools (CREO, PDM, Adobe, etc.).
- Raytheon engineering processes, release workflows, and program execution fundamentals.
- Collaboration techniques within cross‑functional engineering teams.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field in Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) by January 2027
- Engineering Project or Internship experience from a RTX Company
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer:
- 3.0 cumulative GPA desired
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Microsoft Office or other presentation tools
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with coworkers from diverse communities and cultures
- Demonstrate the ability to work with colleagues who represent a diversity of work and conflict resolution styles
