POSITION SUMMARY:
Interpublic Group is seeking a highly analytical and detail oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join our Global Commercial Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing complex financial data, deriving valuable insights and partnering with cross functional teams in development of reporting designed to optimize financial performance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Prepare and present accurate and insightful financial reports, including regular and ad-hoc management reports as well as dashboards to senior management and key stakeholders
- Analyze and evaluate business performance metrics, including client profit key performance indicators (KPIs), and financial targets
- Gather and document business requirements supporting the development of enhanced financial management tools and reporting
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT and operations to identify and implement improvements to existing financial management tools and dashboards, including management of test plans to ensure successful implementation of improvements
- Develop templates and reporting requirements utilized to collect critical financial data; such as detailed revenue forecasts, rate data and staffing estimates from local markets and network finance leads
- Participate in review of underlying master data, recommending remediation designed to maintain or improve data quality and reporting integrity
- Assist in driving process improvement through participating in the implementation of new processes, tools, and sharing of best practices across Interpublic agencies
- Act as a key point of contact to coordinate internal information requests and various other special projects
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree, Finance or Business-related field
- 4 years relevant business experience with preference for experience in client service industry
- Ability to think creatively and critically with superior attention to detail, strong analytical skills and problem-solving work ethic
- Comfortable working with large volumes of complex data and presenting their findings to senior management
- Fundamental understanding of master data design and maintenance
- Ability to review, comprehend, support development of enterprise level program initiatives
- Highly skilled in MS Excel functions and modeling, visualizations, and solid proficiency in across all Microsoft applications required particularly MS PowerPoint
- Experience in data extraction, manipulation and visualization with familiarity of tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, SAP Analysis for Office, etc.
- Familiarity with ERP Systems (Hyperion, SAP based platforms)
NYC SALARY RANGE:
The salary range for this position is $85,000 to $100,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
