1. OVERVIEW
The Rehab Office Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the rehab gym and spaces to maximize therapist efficiency and patient experience while consistent analyzing and implementing enhancements to assist in department growth and development. The Rehab Office Manager will ensure patient satisfaction while enhancing intake process, schedule optimization, and customer service while assisting therapists in execution of plan of care as appropriate.
2. DESCRIPTION
- Greet, receive and transport patients for appointment
- Assist and prepare Physical and Occupational Therapy and other medical equipment during appointments
- Communicate patient concerns to nurses and care staff
- Maintain Electronic Rehabilitation Medical Chart
- Assist with patient intake process including insurance verification, consent forms, orders, etc.
- Communicate and coordinate with patients via in-person, phone and emails to optimize and schedule appointments, complete intake tasks, address questions
- Plan and celebrate victories and milestones of our residents
- Maintain operational and infection control management of the rehab gym and spaces including: sterilization of equipment, supply ordering and replenishment, removal of hazards, etc
- Assist in chart and process auditing
- Plan and coordinate patient enhancement events and activities
- Complete all other tasks that are deemed appropriate for this role and assigned by the manager/supervisor
3. REQUIRED SKILLS
- Understanding of Medical Records
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Computer Skills: Outlook, Excel, Word, EMR
- Mental acuity and ability to communicate both written and verbally in a professionally manner with patients, responsible parties, team members and managers
- Customer Service and Hospitality Skills
- Regularly required to utilize standard office equipment including computers, keyboards, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.
- Regularly required to sit, stand for extended periods, walk, reach with hands and arms, and to talk and hear. Employee may be occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- The physical demand level may involve patient transfers, with team lifting up to 100+ pounds. Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, with frequent lifting and or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds, and constant lifting of negligible to 10-pound objects.
4. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma
- Minimum two years’ experience in Senior Living setting
5. DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience in Long Term Care Geriatric Setting
