As a Senior Manager Project Manager at Capital One, you will drive strategy and execute on high priority / high visibility projects for the company related to the Discover technology transition. You will work with smart and passionate people to deliver results that have a direct impact on the company’s bottom line. You will take on important and exciting responsibility from day one, working with key stakeholders across the company. General Responsibilities:
Work on large scale projects across the technology organization
Drive projects based on defined priorities; ensure scope of deliverables, timelines are met; identify risks and issues and mitigate or escalate as needed
Plan, design, manage and execute project plans to ensure delivery. This activity includes management through feasibility, design, planning and implementation.
Leverage problem solving skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent and maintain key project documentation
Build relationships and collaborate with cross-functional key stakeholders to understand processes and drive results
Identify ways to improve and streamline business process
Exhibit a proven track record of project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage the work
Demonstrate outstanding communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders across all levels to manage, inform, and influence outcomes
Demonstrate organizational agility to adapt to changing demands
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
At least 5 Years of Project Management experience
At least 4 years Agile experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters or MBA degree
6+ years of Project Management experience
3+ years of Project Management experience within the Technology industry
2+ years of Jira experience
2+ years of Confluence experience
PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Strong problem solving and influencing skills
Work experience achieving results with complex projects

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Chicago, IL: $155,300 - $177,200 for Sr Manager, Project Management
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
