Job Description
Drug Development Inside Sales Coodinator responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Inside Sales Representative is a key contributor to the sales cycle supporting overall Lead generation and management process. They will be responsible for identification and qualification of potential customers through various channels while building a relationship to understand and meet clients’ needs. This role requires an understanding of inside sales in a life science or Contract research organization. Understanding of development of new contacts and leads through various approaches is key. Working with business development and account managers to drive to sales targets is a key objective for the role.
- Qualify leads from digital marketing campaigns, conferences, references, tradeshows, etc.
- Follow up on existing cold and warm leads to re-engage them in the sales process
- Participate in lead generation strategies, such as cold calling/emailing, to identify business prospects and create/maintain a list of potential customers
- Research potential leads from business directories, web searches, or digital resources
- Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new accounts, building rapport, providing technical information and explanations, and preparing quotations.
- Further develop accounts by checking customer’s buying history, suggesting related and new items (cross sell), and explaining technical features
- Perform gap analysis in stagnant or inactive accounts
- Proactively follow up with customers to get their feedback, guarantee their satisfaction and develop ideas for pitch modification to more successfully advertise products
- Maintain a log of which customers have been contacted, the outcome of each interaction and issues that need to be flagged for follow up
- Track weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance and sales metrics
- Build pipelines with channel partners and team members to close sales
- Collaborate with professionals from other departments to identify improvements to product offerings, sales education, marketing strategies and other business-related topics
- Provide customer related feedback to the Business Development Managers, Product Managers and Marketing Teams
- Assess competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records in the CRM; assist with CRM clean-up
- Input leads, contacts, accounts and opportunities into the company CRM and maintain the accuracy of these records to timeframes as directed by sales management
- Participate in trade shows, vendor shows, and related activities as deemed necessary
- Perform other duties and lead special projects as required and assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Educational Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Biology, Chemistry, drug discovery or related discipline, BS required or M.S ideal
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 -3 years’ experience working in drug discovery
