Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible of managing a small group of engineers as part of the Electrical Engineering team
- Responsible for team members performance and reviews
- Provide guidance and mentorship for junior members of team
- Participate in R&D proposal activities to both government and commercial customers
- Lead related invention disclosures and provisional/full patent applications
- Assure that HSI’s EE design capabilities are maintain related and relevant to the product and technology roadmaps
- Should be able to contribute as an engineer in their discipline by participating in design reviews or as a designer
- Continuously improve the design process by ensuring best practices and tools are applied and evaluated
- Implement Design for Manufacturability (DFM) practices
- Technical lead and accountable for electrical engineering contributions and design within program teams
- Member of Technical Council in capacity or providing insights, feasibility and future technologies that could impact product roadmaps
- Lead design reviews

- Demonstrated experience as a team member of cross-functional teams in a matrix organization environment
- Experience with electrical circuits and cable assembly designs
- Candidate must be comfortable in conceptual, as well as hands on, design, assembly and integration of electromechanical systems
- Familiarity with both Defense and Medical Device industries preferred but not required.
Education and Experience:
- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or similar with 7+years of wearable design and engineering experience, preferably in an emerging technology company
- Experience in a Technology/R&D Environment with writing capabilities related to grants, proposals and other investigative efforts
- Must be a permanent, legal US resident. US Citizenship preferred.
