Medical Transcriptionist II

Overview

Provides organization, communication, and secretarial skills necessary to ensure efficient flow of department activities.  Transcribes pathology reports timely and accurately.

• This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Anaheim Regional Medical Center and AHMC. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the core values of ARMC and AHMC. The employee shall support Anaheim Regional Medical Center’s strategic plan and goals and direction of the performance improvement plan. The employee will also be expected to support all organizational expectations including, but not limited to; Customer Service, Patient’s Rights, Confidentiality of Information, Environment of Care and AHMC initiatives.

Qualifications

Education/Training/Experience

Minimum two years transcription experience, preferably in anatomic pathology.

Experience with information systems and word processing system; WordPerfect and Microsoft Word preferred.

 

Licenses/Certifications

Certified Medical Transcriptionist (CMT) preferred.
