We have an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Global Trade who will support and manage export/import licensing activities within Raytheon’s Advanced Products & Solutions (APS), Space, Imaging and Microelectronics (SIM) business. In this role, you will provide guidance to the SIM portfolio in all facets of export/import requirements and authorizations covered by both the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR). You will act as the Empowered Official and be responsible for contributing to key global trade compliance infrastructure elements including people, processes/procedures, automated solutions/tools, training, and metrics as well as collaborate closely with diverse functional groups across the organization and championing compliant business practices in the intricate landscape of export and import regulations.
The Manager, Global Trade position reports to the Advanced Products & Solutions (APS), Space, Imaging and Microelectronics Associate Director. This position will directly support Raytheon’s wholly-owned subsidiaries Blue Canyon Technologies (BCT), which provides small satellite solutions and their components, and SEAKR Engineering, Inc. (SEAKR), which designs and manufactures avionics, processing and data management systems, as well as other space-qualified advanced electronics; as well as supporting Sensors Unlimited Inc. (SUI), which manufacturers Short Wave Infrared Cameras, and Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS), which provides space capable EO/IR sensor solutions for civil, commercial and defense applications. Please note that this is an export licensing position, not a shipping and logistics position.
This role has been deemed to be on-site with the expectation that the employee’s home is located within 50 miles of one of Raytheon’s primary locations: Tucson, AZ; El Segundo, CA; Goleta, CA; Aurora, CO; Denver, CO; Louisville, KY; Huntsville, AL; Ft. Wayne, IN, North Boston, MA; Princeton, NJ; McKinney, TX; Sterling, VA, or Arlington, VA; but will also be able to undertake periodic travel to the SIM business locations in Denver, Colorado; Princeton, New Jersey; and Goleta, California.
What You Will Do
Serve as Empowered Official
Provide export/import licensing guidance and license portfolio management guidance
Support the business with developing export/import licensing strategies to enable business growth
Subject Matter Expert (SME) in ITAR and EAR Export Authorizations requirements and drafting
Review, prepare, submit, and manage various Export/Import Authorizations (Licenses: DSP-5, DSP-85, DSP-73, DSP-61, DOC licenses; Agreements: MLAs and TAAs; Exemptions/Exceptions) to authorize the transfer of regulated hardware, technical data, software, and services
Review and approve export transactional requests involving engineering support services, meetings, employee travel, visitor access, technical data/defense service exports, and hardware exports
Provide day-to-day guidance and support to SIM personnel on export licensing and compliance needs (e.g., releasability, etc.). Interpret and explain export compliance requirements such as license/TAA provisos, export regulations, and Raytheon export policies and procedures
Assist with investigations and reviews of possible GT escapes and disclosures

Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
