About the role

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Product Systems and Process team is responsible for design tools, PDM and PLM systems and works closely with Peloton hardware product development teams to identify, develop, implement and train teams to create best in class fitness products. This person will also create and maintain documentation on processes used by the hardware engineering team, such as data and lifecycle management. This role will be responsible for owning a suite of tools or processes from initial concept phase of testing and development through production release to deployment to the Peloton staff.   You will work closely with senior leadership and Product Engineering leads to help with identifying issues with design data management, and PLM process management, and recommending solutions.  

YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON

  • Provide product data transformation and management solutions to design teams within their own system and as it moves between business functions. 
  • Ownership of projects requiring a high degree of initiative and analysis, cross-departmental collaboration and implementation, and end-to-end accountability based on complex and loosely scoped work.
  • Plan and lead large scale design tools training to entire functional groups and be responsible for creating and updating training content, including documents, wiki and video-based content.
  • Create and grow relationships within the Product, Systems and Process team as well as key stakeholders to identify areas for process improvement driving business value.
  • Create onboarding strategies for new Design Tools, new hires, engineering contractors, and manufacturers sharing Peloton systems globally. 
  • Analyze product design data for engineering and development teams to provide risk assessment, recommendations for improvement, and solutions to blocking issues. 
  • Research, development and implementation of new design tools for use across Product Engineering.
  • Mentorship of junior team members, creating paths for upskilling with achievable metrics, and providing specific deliverables.

YOU BRING TO PELOTON

    • 5+ years experience in working with product design data and processes. 
    • BS or BE in Engineering, Quality, Information Systems, or equivalent industry experience
    • Experience with consumer product design
    • 2+ years with product data/lifecycle management system (Windchill PLM, Arena, Agile or others)
    • Experience with Product Development Processes (PDP), having contributed to the conception through launch of several NPI programs. 
    • Experience supporting CAD software in a PLM environment for the creation of hardware products (Solidworks, Creo, Inventor, Fusion360 or other)
    • Experience creating and documenting best practices for 3D Design and Product Data Management
    • Enjoy working in a highly collaborative environment with Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Quality teams
    • Excellent spoken and written communication skills

Base Salary: $154,100.00  to $200,400.00

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our New York City headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes.
