MFSQ Program Assistant

Overview

The Master of Food Safety and Quality (MFSQ) online degree program, offered through the Department of Nutrition, Dietetics and Food Sciences (NDFS), is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to serve as a Program Assistant. The Program Assistant will help the Program Director with program-related activities, such as program marketing and promotion, creating/maintaining MFSQ Canvas page and website, and assisting with data collection for program evaluation purposes. This is a non-benefited, part-time hourly position, typically 5-10 hours weekly. This position is telework eligible.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate potential local, regional, and national options for marketing and program promotion, and develop marketing materials consistent with USU and College of Agriculture and Applied Sciences branding standards.
• Collect and maintain data related to program performance, and with the Program Director, compile the annual Program Evaluation Report.
• Update and maintain the existing MFSQ website to provide information to prospective students, and create and maintain a Canvas course to communicate with current students.
• Work with the NDFS Marketing Coordinator to provide MFSQ program content for social media.
• Other duties as identified by the Program Director.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS in a related field, or AS/AAS plus 2 years experience.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple simultaneous tasks.
• Evidence of strong written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• MS in a related field, or BS plus 2 years experience.
• Experience with content management in Omni CMS.
• Experience with Canvas online learning platform.
