About the Role

Magna Steyr is looking for talented and experienced team members in complete vehicle development who are determined and passionate about developing the next level industry standard for vehicle architectures and production solutions. In the EE discipline, the Senior Engineer - ADAS Integration is responsible for leading the engineering activities relating to the Development ADAS systems. This position has an elevated level of responsibility and visibility and will interface with OEMs, Magna divisions, global module group teams and Tier 2 suppliers. 

Your Responsibilities

Contribute to the Global Technical Area (GTA) strategy and growth of the engineering team 
•    Responsible for All ADAS activities for multiple platforms from development to launch
•    Own all ADAS activities from start to finish including packaging modules, testing and validation
•    Create and negotiate customer and technical requirements for related ADAS features/functionality
•    Responsible for supplier identification, technical specifications, product design and release BOM
•    Define KPIs, Safety goals (support FuSa team) for all ADAS related activities
•    Responsible for defining & developing ADAS requirements, features, functionality, and calibration
•    Responsible for defining testing and validation scope (Bench, HIL, SIL, MIL, VIL, Test Track)
•    Responsible for OEM and magna KPI targets and assure the targets are achievable 
•    Responsible for supporting multiple customers and programs simultaneously
•    Ensure Functional Safety (ISO 26262), SOTIF, NCAP, any applicable regulatory standards are met
•    Be responsible for designs meeting the project performance and cost targets  
•    Be responsible for designs meeting market region regulations, FMVSS, ECE, CNCA/GB, etc. 
•    Responsible for team's goals, tasks, priorities, and issues resolution in a timely manner
•    Confirm Design Verification Plan and Report (DVP&R) comprehends all project targets and is complete 
•    Confirm the project Design Failure Mode and Effects and Analysis (DFMEA) comprehends all product risks and product usage cases 
•    Involve in all steps of system design V-cycle vehicle development process
•    Support Technical Area (TA) core competencies and resolve issues in a timely manner
•    Support and contribute to knowledge base of internal and external best practices 
•    Lead benchmarking studies and contribute to the benchmark knowledgebase 
•    Propose and lead advanced development topics supporting the GTA 
•    Propose continuous improvement opportunities to level up tools, and processes 
•    Lead design proposals with set-based engineering principles 
•    Lead designs with 6 Sigma design principles 
•    Support complex problem solving with cross functional teams 
•    Ensure team is equipped with training and tools required to accomplish their assigned tasks
•    Ability to work independently and with a global internal and external teams
•    Ability to work in highly leveraged, cross functional teams, suppliers, and OEMs

Employ technical expertise to lead the engineering development of one or more subsystems 
•    Support the project team(s) engineering in achieving project objectives, performance and cost requirements, and timing milestones. Collaborate with cross functional teams.
•    Support the Project Manager (PM) and contribute to the project resource planning, budget development, and status reporting  
•    Responsible for release of Computer Aided Design (CAD) data into internal and external sites 
•    Responsible for the release of Computer Aided Engineering (CAE), simulations and studies 
•    Responsible for designs capable of meeting serial production, First Time Quality (FTQ) targets 
•    Be responsible for designs meeting market region regulations, FMVSS, ECE, CNCA/GB, etc.
