Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Project Controls Lead to work this remote opportunity with occasional travel to worksites in the western United States.
Position Overview: As a Project Controls Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and monitoring of our projects. You will be responsible for developing and implementing project controls strategies, managing schedules, budgets, and resources, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining effective communication between project management and stakeholders, providing insights into project performance, and identifying areas for improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Controls Strategy: Develop and implement project controls plans, including scheduling, cost estimation, risk management, and quality assurance, to ensure successful project execution.
Cost Management: Oversee project budgeting and cost tracking. Analyze and report on cost trends, deviations, and variances to support effective decision-making.
Risk Identification and Mitigation: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor and update risk registers throughout project lifecycles.
Performance Monitoring: Track project performance against established metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs). Provide regular status reports to stakeholders.
Communication: Foster clear and effective communication between project teams, stakeholders, and management. Provide timely updates on project progress and challenges.
Quality Assurance: Implement quality control processes to ensure projects meet industry standards, regulations, and client expectations.
Continuous Improvement: Evaluate project controls processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall project success.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
BA/BS + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications:
10 + years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Masters Degree in Engineering or Construction Management
- Extensive experience with design/build in excess of $100 M
- Proficiency with earned value, scope control and change management concepts, principles, and methodologies
Understands financial terminology and measures and recognizes the financial impact of various project actions
Working knowledge of accounting principles

Additional Information:
Offered rate of compensation (Salt Lake City locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $107,000 - 190,000/yr.
