Intern - TD Advanced Modeling

As an Advanced Modeling Intern at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be working in the Technology Development (TD) group supporting the development of advanced modeling and simulation tools customized for memory development and manufacturing! This position is in Boise, ID, where you will work in a multi-functional team of engineers and researchers, highly experienced in advanced modeling of semiconductor processes and integration flows.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Working on a modeling project that involves development of methods to perform structural simulations. You will report results to the TD team of modeling engineers and collaborate with them on the next steps. This position seeks individuals that can code and implement algorithms!

Qualifications:

• Independence – be comfortable executing activities and needs
• Good written and verbal communication
• Outstanding teamwork
• Experience with level sets, FEA, and CADs
• Familiar with meshing and rendering methods
• Experience with Bash, Python, C++
• Strong skills in machine learning, deep learning, generative AI techniques
• Previous software development and Linux experience
• Strong debug and problem-solving skills
• Experience in writing reports and/or conference papers
• Ability to work in a team environment and experience with remote collaboration tools
• Familiarity with semiconductor processes is encouraged

Education Requirements:

• Pursuing Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Computational engineering equivalent degrees.

Graduation date should not be prior to December 2024. We are looking for a Summer or Fall 2024 intern.
